Wetnose Day

Start date: September 29, 2017

End date: October 1, 2017

Once again we’re raising awareness and funds for Wetnose Day with Wetnose staff selfies, a raffle (for both animals and humans) and a Pose With A Nose stand – your chance to strike a pose, in a wetnose, with your four-legged friend to make us all laugh.

Wetnose Animal Aid is raising funds that will be given to struggling Animal Rescue Centres to help pay off vets bills, buying equipment or animal feed which would go a long way to helping them in their day to day invaluable work. These Rescue Centres are experiencing a marked downturn in donations, but a noticeable increase in animals being ‘dumped’ on them, as owners continue for various reasons not to be able to keep their animals. That equation does not balance, and therefore this Wetnose Day is an important event to help raise serious levels of funds to get the balance back.

Local charities which have benefitted from Wetnose Aid include Hula, Stokenchurch Dog Rescue, Aylesbury Cat Rescue and Paddy Paws.

Halloween Hijinks

Start date: October 29, 2016

End date: October 30, 2016

funny-dog-halloween-costume-cerberus

After the success of Wetnose Day, we’re recreating some of the fun for Halloween while fundraising for Florence Nightingale Hospice. The Florence Nightingale Hospice has been our chosen charity of the year for 2016 and this event will add towards the total raised through dog shows, collection tins and other events.

The aim of Florence Nightingale Hospice is to provide a first class specialist palliative care service which is accessible and free of charge to those with a life-limiting illness. Hospice care is all about the person being more than a patient and finding ways to improve quality of life through symptom control, pain relief, emotional and spiritual support. Families and close friends are also involved as they are often central to the well-being of those in our care.
